AP: “Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva got a talking-to from Bucks coach Scott Skiles after the coach learned Villanueva posted a message to his Twitter feed from his cell phone during halftime of Sunday’s home victory over the Boston Celtics.“
Here’s what CV31 wrote:
“In da locker room, snuck to post my twitt. We’re playing the Celtics, tie ball game at da half. Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up”
And indeed he did. Villanueva finished with a team-high 19 points as the Bucks, who are trying desperately to hold on to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, beat the defending champs 86-77. Charlie’s response? “We’re talking about Twitter here, we should be worried about Orlando.“
Coach Skiles, I know you’re about gritty defensive play and CV31 brought it! Plus, cut the guy some slack Charlie’s working with some of the NBA’s brightest on the next level of tweeting:
